Steve Atlee

Steve Atlee is the Deputy General Counsel at Caltech. Mr. Atlee's key responsibilities include managing litigation, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Office of the General Counsel, and interacting with senior management at Caltech and JPL regarding all matters involving the Office of the General Counsel.

Prior to joining Caltech, Mr. Atlee was a partner in several private law firms in Los Angeles. In addition to litigating, he also provided strategic advice to clients in the areas of intellectual property, contracts, real property, corporate governance, class actions, and other complex commercial disputes.

Mr. Atlee received his undergraduate degree from Yale University summa cum laude and earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California, where he served on the Southern California Law Review and was admitted to the national honorary society Order of the Coif.
