Steve Atlee

Steve Atlee is the Deputy General Counsel at Caltech. Steve's key responsibilities include managing litigation, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Office of General Counsel, and interacting with senior management across campus and JPL regarding all matters involving the Office of the General Counsel.

Prior to joining Caltech, Steve was a partner in several national law firms in Los Angeles. In addition to litigating and trying cases, Steve also provides strategic advice to clients in the areas of intellectual property, contracts, real property, corporate governance, class actions, and other complex commercial disputes.

Steve received his undergraduate degree from Yale University summa cum laude and earned his JD from the University of Southern California, where he served on the Southern California Law Review and was admitted to the national honorary society Order of the Coif.
